Antony Johns Master Class

We had the honour of welcoming Antony Johns to teach a day of Master Classes in April.

Antony choreographed many of the shows that Miss Helen appeared in during her professional career and also the Dame Vera Lynn 100th Birthday Celebration Show at The Palladium, London that she appeared in, in 2017.

Acrobatic Arts Certification

Following a 2 day training course, Miss Helen is accredited  to teach the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus. It is a fantastic Worldwide Examination Syllabus and incorporates acrobatics and dance together.

Classes will begin Saturday June 16th 2018 at 11.00 – 11.30.

Easter Cake Sale

The week leading up to the Easter Break was spent selling cakes and ‘Name the Bunny and Chick’. This raised another £61.00.

Christmas Showcase and Party 2018

The postponed 2017 Showcase and Christmas Party took place in February 2018! The children did another fantastic job of choreographing their own dances and everybody enjoyed the day. Another £280.00 was raised for The Derby Royal Hospitals Neonatal and Children’s Departments.

Ella Hadfield and Aminta Dawson gained the scholarships for a years free tuition and Izzy Wilson, May Giles and Elizabeth Bounds received trophies during the afternoon.

Dovefest 2017

The children performed brilliantly at The Dovefest , Doveridge this year, even with some technical difficulties!

Summer Dance Day 2017

Our Musical Theatre Dance Day was an enjoyable and busy day for all the children.

The day was taken by our fantastic teacher, Jon and involved Dance, Singing, Drama, Arts and Crafts and there was still time for lots of Games!

It was also Jon’s birthday so we did manage to squeeze in a ‘Happy Birthday’ and cake!

 

Helen to appear at The Palladium after a 17 year break

Our very own Helen Pattinson will be performing with a group of ex dancers performing at The London Palladium on March 18th. Helen Pattison, trained and taught at The Ogando School Of Dance in Wollaton before training at the prestigious Dance College, Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom before working professionally not only in this country but around the world.

Peak Dance Academy Raises Funds For Derby Royal Hospital

 

The Peak Dance Academy Christmas Showcase and the 2016 Christmas Party were a huge success. There was great feedback from everyone who attended.

Best of all, we are delighted to announce that we raised a total of £300.00 for the Children’s and Neonatal Departments at Derby Royal Hospital.

Thanks to everyone for their generosity.

2016 Awards and Scholarships

The Christmas party was also the occasion that the 2016  scholarships and awards were presented.

Two students, Sienna Walker Farrell and Chloe Mayes were given a years free tuition.

Other student’s receiving medals and trophies were Willow Springthorpe, Hannah Aram, Kacey Walker, Jack Aram, April-Rose Daley, Ella Wadsworth and Eleanor Hadfield.
